Alo 157, which started its activities as an Emergency Communication Line for Human Trafficking Victims in 2003, was taken over by the Presidency of Migration Management in 2014 and its service network was expanded, and started to serve under the name of Foreigners Communication Center (YIMER) as of 20 August 2015.
Until 31 December 2023, YIMER 157 provided voice service in 7 languages (Turkish, English, Arabic, Persian, Russian, German and Pashto); as of 01 January 2024, with the termination of voice service in Pashto and German languages, YIMER 157 provides information services in 5 languages (Turkish, English, Arabic, Russian, Persian) between 08:00 - 18:00 on weekdays, as well as emergency and denunciation line services 7 days 24 hours. For German and Pashto languages, whose voice services have been terminated in YIMER 157, written emergency and information services are provided via the e-mail address webyimer@goc.gov.tr.
YIMER 157, where foreigners can find answers to all questions they ask about issues such as visa, residence permit, international protection and temporary protection, provides life-saving service for the foreigners who are victims of migrant smuggling at sea for 7 days 24 hours uninterrupted service for the identification of victims of human trafficking and rescue operations.
YIMER 157, which can be accessed within the country and abroad for “accurate, fast and reliable information”, aims to be the first address for foreigners' questions and problems.
