“HARMONIZATION MEETINGS” GATHERED UP THE BUSINESS WORLD


Harmonization Meetings organized by our Directorate General continue without pausing. The sixth phase of the Harmonization Meetings, which began in Antalya, continued in Alanya, İzmir, Ankara and Gaziantep and information about the rights and obligations of foreigners were passed on, was held in Bursa on Thursday, January 17, 2019.
 
The meeting, which was organized for Turkish and foreign business people to have access to accurate information and to have knowledge about legislation and developments, was performed with the participation of Mr. Dr. Gökçe OK, Deputy Director General; Mr. Aydın Keskin KADIOĞLU, Head of Harmonization and Communication Department; Mr. Mustafa ÖZSOY, Bursa Deputy Governor; Mr. Dr. Onur Hakkı ARINER, ICMPD Representative, and business people from Bursa.

We need to connect the person in need to the one opening his/her heart.

Addressing in his opening speech, Mr. Dr. Gökçe OK, our Deputy Director General, emphasized the importance of harmonization and the role of our country on this issue by saying that: “The lands we are on both connects the Asian, African and European continents and connects the persons in need to the one opening his/her heart to them. The most important component of the migration management heritage of our country is undoubtedly harmonization.”

Bursa is one of the leading examples of good management of migration

As for Mr. Aydın Keskin KADIOĞLU, Head of Harmonization and Communication Department, he said in his speech that “Our current city Bursa where we are present now is one of the leading examples of good management of migration. In Bursa, which has a deep background on migration, two communities live in harmony, fraternally and within mutual respect. You who have come here by leaving your country behind to lead a new life, establish an income channel both for yourself and the people that you employ by making economic breakthroughs. Also, you support for the developing economy of Turkey” by underlying the fact that each of the foreigners who have come to our country to establish a new future is very valuable for us. 
Following the opening speeches, presentations of the representatives from Bursa Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, Provincial Directorate of Family, Labour and Social Services, Provincial Directorate of Labour and Employment Agency, Provincial Directorate of Social Security Institution, Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bursa Union of Chamber of Merchants and Craftsmen, Bursa Eskişehir Bilecik Development Agency, Directorate of Osmangazi Public Education were shared with the participants. At the meeting; information about registration process and sectoral situation, investment regions and projects, introduction of vocational courses and application conditions were provided. Moreover; issues such as employing foreign workers, work permits, procedures regarding social security institution were also discussed.
After the presentations, the questions asked by the participants were answered and the event was closed.
