President of the Republic Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that 600,000 Syrians have voluntarily returned to their country in a safe, dignified, and orderly manner in the past year.

President of the Republic Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said the following in his video message for the New Year:
“As Peace Takes Root in Syria, Voluntary Returns Have Increased”
“With the 8 December revolution, our neighbour Syria, which gained its freedom, has accelerated its recovery, and significant progress has been made in a short time towards political stability. As peace takes root in Syria, voluntary returns have increased, with 600,000 of our Syrian guests have returned to their homeland in the past year. We believe that a strong Syria, having secured its political unity and territorial integrity, will make exceptional contributions both to its region and to the world. As Türkiye, we will provide the necessary support to the new administration for the peace and security of the Syrian people, regardless of whether they are Arab, Kurdish, Turkmen, Sunni, Shia, or Nusayri.”
